As part of the creative entrepreneurship minor we were supplied with a grant to launch a small business for the AUT Market Day. The company we started sold original screenprinted T-shirts to raise money for the Rainbow Youth Charity.
The brand, Spectrum, is young, inclusive, and socially responsible. The name 'Spectrum' relates to the fluidity of gender and sexuality. My logo design incorporates a diamond, which is used to display light spectrum, and also represents the importance of individuality.
The choice to use paper bags and cardboard tags reduced our plastic waste. This reinforces our brand values. I used a hand-cut Lino print to embellish the bags. Each reproduction varies slightly, emphasising the beauty of uniqueness.
