Blue Lady

This piece was created so that I could explore the process of design and production, I was not focused on communicating a specific meaning.

I wanted to experiment with two different mediums that I hadn't worked in before, digital illustration and watercolour. I began with a pencil sketch, and used this to create a digital line illustration. I had the piece printed on watercolour paper and painted loosely over top, mixing colours.

The contrast between the structure of the digital lines and the fluidity of the watercolour creates an interesting effect.
